Running on a summers evening

This is a description of a great run i did last night so i don't forget it.

It had been a really hot day but the evening was cooler, I set off from the house around 8ish. Instead of heading up the hill next to UWE I cut through old Bower Ashton village, over the playing field and through the tree's, over the style brings you out in front of the big field facing Ashton Court mansion. The grass was tall but a path had been beaten through it leading you to the haha gate. Then left past the pond and rose garden, through another gate and a quick detour along a dark track passing teh spooky underground store house thing (ice house?). Out and over the field to meet the main road through the estate. Left and up the track past the deer. Jump off the track and up the bik track past the reed pond over roots and under tree's its cooler and more fun than the track. Out from the tree's and follow the main windy track up to the top. See mountain bikers through the tree's and the odd fawn deer, unworried and venturing up the park as dusk comes. Follow the undulating path along, sometimes running hard and fast downhill, its easy and cool under the big tree's, ive got the woods to myself it seems. Out by the edge of the golf green, follow the cut grass golf track up onto the rough track and run fast downhill overtaken by bikers but im not far behind its fast and easy. Rejoin the main estate road and out of the main entrance, catching up bikers at the lights, I run hard past them, flying down to the suspension bridge. Stop to look at the view, its so clear and bright, stop for 5 mins, get vertigo looking at the otherside of the gorge. Thinking about Clive who Ive just been told has 6 months to live, it seems impossible. I have a strong feeling of being alive at this moment looking at the enormous view. Off again over the bridge, speedily through clifton and the path through the old graveyard with the tree's making a tunnel. Stumble quickly down Constitution Hill, Jacobs wells and down onto the dockside, stop again and look at the river and ss Great Britain. Gently jog along the dock, its cooler but still warm, pass the busy Pump House pub over the swing bridge. Back by the create centre and run hard up the little steep dirt hill, steady then through the park, and back home. Shower. Amazing apple juice and 'fishy suprise' pasta made by Emily. A good run.
